The Bella Mente squad has assembled again in Newport, RI to get ready for the New York Yacht Club Annual Regatta. Apparently this is the oldest regatta in the US, so hopefully we can put our names on some quality silver by the end of the week. We will head out for one day of practice on Thursday, and racing begins on Friday with a short around-the-island race on Friday and buoy racing Saturday and Sunday.
Our division will be heavily competitive with several impressive boats like Ran, Titan, Rambler and several others looking to take honors. Most teams are looking to do well in this event, as well putting the final preparations together for the Newport/Bermuda race which begins next week.
